HISTORY IN THE MAKING

Originally established in 1910, Sullivan & Fortner Roofing has proudly provided the Lafayette, IN region with quality exteriors. Only exceptional customer service and quality workmanship can lead to success like ours. Over the last century, we have established ourselves as the best roofing company in Lafayette, IN.

WHO IS SULLIVAN & FORTNER?

The gentleman who founded our company over a century ago was Mr. Sullivan. After continuous growth, Mr. Fortner then hired Freeman Fortner as a co-partner in the 1940’s.

An avid fan of high school basketball, Mr. Fortner hired Donald Howard to work for the company during the summer months and between school sessions. Howard, a Jeff basketball player, eventually became a part-owner of the business with Mr. Fortner after completing his education.

Freeman Fortner eventually retired and sold the company to Bob Wesner and Charles Skiver in 1968. Mr. Skiver, who had been with Sullivan & Fortner since 1959, was the sole owner of the company until 1997, when he sold the business to our Australian native, Paul O'Dell.

Our current owner, Miguel Gomez, believes in the values of how Sullivan & Fortner Roofing was founded by. Each client being treated as family and the quality of work being a top priority.

In the 110+ years of existence, we have had only 6 different owners/co-owners. Rather impressive considering the average lifespan for a roofing company is 5 only years.
